Recently, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang Province announced the list of provincial-level "Smart Factories" for 2025. The smart factory for new-type and differentiated polyester fibers, operated by Shengyuan Chemical Fiber—a subsidiary of Rongsheng Petrochemical Co., Ltd.—has been successfully selected.
This achievement follows Shengyuan Chemical Fiber’s recognition in 2023 for an "Excellent Scenario for Intelligent Manufacturing" at the national level, marking another significant milestone for the company in the field of intelligent manufacturing. The smart factory has established a comprehensive system for intelligent production and data-driven decision-making, covering everything from raw materials to finished products, and from production execution to business management. It achieves full-chain digital and intelligent operations, demonstrating exceptional system integration and collaborative capabilities.
This recognition also marks a critical step for Rongsheng Petrochemical in establishing an intelligent manufacturing layout across its entire petrochemical value chain. Previously, Zhejiang Petrochemical—a flagship integrated refining and chemical enterprise under Rongsheng Petrochemical—was designated as a provincial-level "Advanced Smart Factory." The inclusion of Shengyuan Chemical Fiber further solidifies a complete, closed-loop intelligent manufacturing ecosystem, spanning from upstream refining and chemical production to downstream chemical fiber manufacturing.
Looking ahead, Rongsheng Petrochemical intends to further deepen the integration and innovation of new-generation information technology within its physical manufacturing operations. The company plans to increase R&D investment, expand the scope of digital applications, explore more advanced intelligent manufacturing models, and leverage its position as an industry leader to drive the collaborative upgrading of the entire value chain—ultimately contributing to the strengthening and enhancement of the global competitiveness of my country’s petrochemical industry.
